A regular day in Kazan, November 5, was brightened up with a grand-scale event, which made this ordinary day so memorable for Russian football fans. That day, an Europa League game between our official partner, football club Liverpool, and local team Rubin was played at the Kazan Arena stadium. Liverpool new manager Jurgen Klopp took the first team to Russia in order to field the strongest possible squad against Rubin Kazan.
We could not miss such a remarkable event and made a decision to surprise our largest clients from the capital of Tatarstan and nearby cities inviting them to a buffet in our Kazan office. An unexpected visit of Liverpool FC ambassadors Ben Latti and Mark Rollins was the real highlight of the reception. Then, we were driven to the game.
After the game in Liverpool ended 1:1, the teams were committed to win. So it was grueling football. Both our clients and partners from the United Kingdom keenly watched the match. Everyone was cheering their own team.
Rubin Kazan lost and Liverpool managed to prove that the tie at Anfield was just a coincidence. The Reds played a superb game and only pouring rain seemed to deter them from scoring more goals that day.
